Developer Double Fine is gearing up for the release of its next project, Post-post-apocalyptic rogue-like Rad. In it, players step into the shoes of a teenage protagonist that's survived armageddon two times and must set out into the Fallow, a dangerous, irradiated, ever-shifting place, in order to ensure that humanity has a future.

Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Rad is played from a third-person perspective. While players will inevitably employ their trusty bats to smash the dangerous wildlife roaming around the Fallow, its radiation will also bestow mutations upon them. Just like the game's generated levels, mutations are randomly given, adding an element of surprise to each subsequent run.

As with every rogue-like, death will be very much present in Rad; however, the various improvements you can make to your hometown give you gain small advantages at the start of every run. Rad is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on August 20th.
