Devotion was a psychological horror video game developed by Red Candle Games for Steam. The title was well-received until Chinese gamers learned of the controversial reference to Xi Jinping which compared the Chinese leader to Winnie the Pooh. The game was bombarded with negative reviews. The gem was going to be sold on GOG but was pulled by GOG which issued a statement on the matter and now Red Candle Games has issued their response.

As stated in the image above the company respected the digital's store decision and apologized to fans.

Considering CD Projekt RED is having a difficult PR time with the Cyberpunk 2077 this will only add more to the fire. Players are already upset with the game's release on last-generation base consoles and now this won't win CD Projekt RED more fans.
