Reddit Coming to Xbox One, Twitch Update, and MTV Application Available Soon

Xbox One is getting MTV, Reddit, and an update to their Twitch application

If you own an Xbox One and love Reddit you're in for a treat. Today Larry Hryb announced that a new application called ReddX that will allow you to browse Reddit while using your Xbox One. ReddX will support Snapped and allow you to slide ReddX to the side of your television while you're gaming, watching a movie, or using another application. ReddX will allow you to interact with other users in similar ways to reddit.com. Achievements will also be added to ReddX, allowing users to unlock media specific achievements named after the Internet's favorite memes.

Those living in the U.S. And Canada can using the customized page to look at subreddits and read texts, view images, watch videos, and see GIFS. A zoom function allows users to zoom in or out of text and images for a closer look.

ReddX will allow you to "upvote and downvote a thread with just the touch of a button, as well as easily add your comments using your Xbox One controller, media remote or Xbox SmartGlass on your smartphone, tablet or laptop." If you find a glorious image that you can't stop staring at don't worry, ReddX will let you save that image to your profile or background for your ReddX application.

ReddX isn't the only application coming to Xbox One. MTV is launching on Xbox One in the U.S. With bonus content and full episodes from select MTV series.

Twitch on Xbox One is adding new features that include an auto zoom, audio capture from headsets and "watch with friends." "Watch with friends" allows you to see the Twitch channels your friends on Xbox are viewing and watch the same broadcast. Your Kinect can now follow and zoom to your face with broadcasting or if the Kinect isn't connected to your Xbox One allow audio capture from the player's attached headset.
