Resident Evil 2 Latest Trailer Features A Licker Encounter

If you've been keeping up with Resident Evil 2 you know that Capcom is taking every avenue available to them to recreate the terrifying horror experience that the original game had for a modern era. Recently, Capcom released new images showcasing one of the series most iconic enemies, the Licker. Today, they've released a new trailer showing Claire face off against the deadly monster and judging from the trailer it won't be easy taking these creatures down.

Lurking in the shadows and stalking their prey via sound, Lickers use superior hunting skills and long tongues to bring their hunt to a swift end.

Unlike the original game, players can avoid detection by moving very slowly. Since the Lickers are blind this is possible but the slightest sound will alert your location. The trailer also shows that these enemies are deadly, able to take Claire down with ease by pouncing on her and delivering fatal strikes. It's unclear if the enemies will feature their notorious 1-hit kill.

Resident Evil 2 releases on January 25th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
