One of the best games of this year, Resident Evil 7, finally meets sales goal

It's been 9 months since the release of Resident Evil 7 and now the game has finally reached its sales target. According to Capcom, the game reached 4 million sales this month, however, this sales goal was supposed to be met last fiscal quarter in March.
Back in March Resident Evil 7 missed its mark by approximately 500,000 sales. While sales steadily declined after its release the Gold Edition, which includes all DLC content, will most likely raise sales. Resident Evil 7 is the fourth most popular game in the franchise and one of the highest rated games of 2017 with an 86% rating on Metacritic when writing this story.
Currently, Not a Hero is the next big expansion to release. This follows the events after the core campaign and stars veteran Chris Redfield as he hunts down the last of the Baker Family Lucas. Furthermore, the final piece of story content, End of Zoe, will provide context about what happened to Zoe Baker after the game's campaign.
Resident Evil 7 is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The Gold Edition launches on December 12th on the same platforms.
