Resident Evil 7 Shipped Over 2.5 Million Copies

Looks like Capcom's decision to return to the survival-horror roots of the Resident Evil franchise with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was a good idea. Capcom has reported that that 2.5 million copies of the game have shipped.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard takes many risks such as introducing a brand new protagonist, sporting a first-person view, and returning to survival horror instead of maintaining action theme that has become predominantly negatively received. Resident Evil 7 has been well-received among gamers and critics citing the game's fantastic atmosphere.
