Resident Evil Village had a mixed reception for mimicking the Resident Evil 4 formula but was still strongly received. The game shipping 5 million copies since launching this year.
This has pushed the series over 10 million copies shipped. As of now, Capcom has not announced any DLC but rumors have been circulating that given the massive sales they may release something.
Resident Evil Village is the sequel to Resident Evil 7 biohazard (which has gone on to ship over 10 million units cumulatively) and once more places players into the role of protagonist Ethan Winters as they venture into a mysterious, snowy village to rescue his daughter.
