Rust's Female Models Are Currently in Development

Rust developers are working on female models.

The developers of Rust are working on a new option for character generation: they can be given any gender! The catch is, just like the color of the skin and the size of their genitals, these, too, will be randomly generated. This was all announced in their Devblog 69, where they fully elaborated on this and multiple other upcoming changes to the game. The players will have no say in what gender they are or even what they look like, so it’s possible that male players will be playing as petite, ballerina women while female players will end up with a herculean male.

Rust’s Gary Newman states,

“To clear up some confusion, when we it does go live you won’t get a choice of whether you’re female or male. We’re not “taking the choice away” from you. You never had a choice. A man’s voice coming out of a woman’s body is no more weird than an 8 year-old boy’s voice coming out of a man’s body.”

At the moment, the only way to access the female model is if you’re an Admin of a Rust server, in which case you’ll be a female model. Otherwise, you must wait while the developers test this new feature.
