Season Pass Announced for Borderlands: The Pre-sequel

Four DLC packs coming to Borderlands: The Pre-sequel.

Gearbox Software has big plans for Borderlands: The Pre-sequel, stating that the next big installment in the popular cooperative RPG shooter will have four add-on packs following its release. The DLC packs will add new characters, areas, challenges and missions and will retail for $9.99 on all platforms. If you intend to purchase all the DLC packs, a season pass option will include all four add-on downloads, costing $29.99.

You can still pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-sequel and gain access to the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit. Taking place on an old Dahl facility on Pandora's moon, players will meet TR4- NU, an old military recruiter for Dahl who went insane. Now he convinces people to fight the moon's toughest enemies in exchange for incredible loot. The Shock Drop Slaughter Pit will not be included with the season pass but will become available for purchase for those who didn't pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-sequel at a later date.

Borderlands: The Pre-sequel is the newest entry in the acclaimed Borderlands franchise that is currently in development by Gearbox Software and 2K Australia. Taking place between the events of Borderlands and Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-sequel will showcase Handsome Jack's rise to power as CEO of the Hyperion corporation. Featuring four new playable characters and four player co-op, players will face-off against new enemies on Pandora's moon. 

Borderlands: The Pre-sequel will be available on October 14 in NA and October 17 internationally for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
