Secrets of Raetikon Releases This Week

Secrets of Raetikon is an open-world, 2D exploration game from indie developer Broken Rules. Their previous work included And Yet It Moves and Chasing Aurora, among other projects. Secrets of Raetikon has been in development for around three years, and it is currently available as an early access game through Steam and the game's website.

Taking place "in the romantic wilderness of the Alps," players explore the environment: flying through mountains, interacting with wild animal tribes, solving puzzles and unraveling the secrets of an ancient culture. Prevalent is the interaction between nature and civilization, with players struggling to be the balance between the two. In addition to the main campaign, players can edit levels, design their own and share their creations through the Steam Workshop.

As with Broken Rules' previous games, Secrets of Raetikon embodies a unique art style, one that is easy on the eyes and invites players to experience more than just gameplay. This weekend, Broken Rules announced that Secrets of Raetikon will release this Thursday, April 17. It will be available for PC, Mac and Linux for $9.99.
