Sonic 25th Anniversary Brings Sonic Back

SEGA announced that Sonic will return in 2017 during its Sonic 25th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo.

Takashi Iizuka promised that the game will debut on July 22nd in San Diego. SEGA will host a live event on Twitch. After the recent trainwreck of Sonic games perhaps SEGA will finally listen to fans and create a game that features Sonic's strengths.

During Sonic's 20th Anniversary celebration SEGA released Sonic Generations, which featured gameplay elements from both 2D and 3D Sonic games; then Sonic Boom happen.
