Starbreeze Publishing signs OtherSide Entertainment’s System Shock 3

The latest installment in the System Shock franchise, System Shock 3, is has joined with Starbreeze Publishing to bring the game to consoles.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Starbreeze for System Shock 3,” said OtherSide’s CEO Paul Neurath. They truly get games and gamers, and have been able to translate that understanding into a robust publishing business, and build thriving gaming communities around their franchises.”

The company will invest $12 million into the project but Otherside Entertainment will retain all rights to System Shock 3.

Starbreeze is also responsible for bringing the acclaim Steam game, Dead by Daylight, physical copies to Xbox One and PS4 and is handling publishing rights for the long-awaited Psychonauts 2.

System Shock 3 will now come to PC and other platforms but no specific consoles were mentioned. A reboot of the original game is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in 2018 thanks to Nightdive Studios.
