Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD Confirmed for 2019

Super Monkey Ball is making a comeback.

For many old-school gamers, Super Monkey Ball was notorious for being one of the most challenging puzzle platformers of all time. Now, after being leaked by the Taiwan rating board SEGA has confirmed the return of Super Monkey Ball with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD.

This isn't a new installment but an HD remake of the 2006 title Banana Blitz that released on the Wii. This game had players attempting to recover AiAi's Golden Banana Bunch from Dr. Bad-Boon. With players, for the first time in the game's history, able to jump. Which seems like a small addition, but for Super Monkey Ball made a huge difference.

Included are the original 100 single-player stages and 10 multiplayer maps along with a Mini-Game Decathlon Score Attack Mode, leaderboards, and improved controls.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is releasing for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on October 29 before hitting PC sometime in the winter.
