“With the New York Game Awards going virtual, there are no limits to the amount of industry greats we can represent and have ‘on stage’ at the Awards,” said New York Videogame Critics Circle founder and board president, Harold Goldberg. “We also have big news to share about the Andrew Yoon Legend Award, that we’ll announce later this year.”
“Last year when I joined the New York Videogame Critics Circle as a board member, I never imagined we’d have to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the New York Game Awards only virtually,” said Reggie Fils-Aimé. “But we won’t let challenging times take away the opportunity to celebrate 10 years of honoring the best in gaming and acknowledgingthe Circle’s important mentoring work in underserved communities. We have a stellar line-up of gaming industry greats that will be sure to wow nostalgic gaming fans and new gamers alike. And we will honor the best of gaming from 2020. This will be a ‘must watch’ event.”
