The Director of Katawa Shoujo Has Passed Away

Raide, the director and artist of Katawa Shoujo has suddenly passed away surrounded by family. Not much information has been released and it would seem that way for a long time. A friend of Raide has logged into his Twitter account and tweeted about Raide’s death.

This is a big loss for the visual novel community as Katawa Shoujo has a very dedicated following. The fans have been mourning his death ever since the announcement of his passing a few days ago. They stated that Katawa Shoujo has changed their lives and some are even saying that it’s a very big influence on them.

 

Katawa Shoujo is a visual novel made by Four Leaf Studios. It focuses on Hisao, a young man who’s daily life has changed when he had a heart attack and was diagnosed with arrhythmia. If you want to check it out, the game is available for free.
