The Duelyst Open Beta has started

After a succesful Kickstarter campaign and a period of browser-only pre-alpha tests, Counterplay Games, a studio formed by people who have worked on Diablo III and Rogue Legacy, has finally opened the doors to the Duelyst Open Beta. As they put it, Duelyst is a competitive strategy game focused on tactical combat, squad building, and ranked ladder play, with a focus on matches that last between 5 and 10 minutes.

The beta is available for PCs running 64-bit OS, Mac and Chrome. Yes, you can play this using your browser. In order to give the game a go, all you need to do is visit the games website and follow the instructions. Being definetly a looker, it remains to be seen if the competitive scene will have a new entry in the near future.
