The Forest Coming to PS4

Originally announced for the PS4 and PC 4 years ago, and in Early Access on PC since 2004, The Forest is finally coming to PS4 in 2018.

No exact date was given and it wasn't confirmed if the PS4 version will launch the full version. In addition, while the game has been built to support Oculus Rift no word if the PS4 version will support PSVR.

"The Forest, coming to playstation in 2018! Build a small camp or a large ocean side fortress. Craft weapons from sticks and stones. Fight to stay alive against a vicious enemy force. Experience in singleplayer or with friends in cooperative multiplayer!"

Launched in alpha in 2014 The Forest garnered a lot of attention, becoming one of the most frightening indie horror game till Hello Neighbor joined the fray. Perhaps the PS4 announcement will renew interest in the game from the gaming community if the developers can deliver the game on time and doesn't face multiple delays.

The Forest has the player surviving on an isolated peninsula after a plane crash. Witnessing his son taken the player must use the resources on the island to not only survive but defend themselves from the mutated inhabitants. 

The Forst is now available for PC on Early Access.
