The Pokemon Franchise Has Surpassed 300 Million Lifetime Units Shipped

Few franchises have become as popular as the Pokémon series. Today, through Famitsu, The Pokémon Company confirmed that the series has shipped 300 million units of its hit video game series since 1996.

This is an impressive milestone, and with the release of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon, we can expect that number to keep growing. Once Nintendo decides to release a fully realized console version of the game or MMO you can expect that number to increase even further.

It's worth noting that this number includes titles not in the mainline series such as Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Colosseum, and Pokémon Snap. 

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is the final game in the mainline series for the 3DS and is now available.
