THQ Montreal's 1666 Trademark Resurfaces
Is 1666 a new game?
News by Adam Siddiqui on Apr 19, 2016
The THQ IP acquired by Ubisoft, Game 1666, has resurfaced.

Called 1666, or 1666: Amsterdam, was started as a THQ Montreal game before THQ declared bankruptcy. The studio and the 1666 IP was purchased by Ubisoft, and the project was headed by Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Desilets. Eventually Desilets would be terminated from Ubisoft in 2013.
Ubisoft currently holds a Class 9 trademark, which is for game software, and Class 41 in the US for “1666” since February 22, 2012. This trademark was made through Europe, and given the expensive nature of such a task this cannot mean nothing. Perhaps we'll hear something at E3 2016.
What do you think 1666 means? Perhaps a new addition to the Assassin’s Creed game, maybe a year?
