In an event held in Japan last weekend, Bandai Namco announced the new installment in the Time Crisis franchise will go back to its roots and be available as an arcade game. Tim Crisis debuted in the late 90's as a light gun arcade game and, since then, the feanchise has spawned several sequels. Its latest installment, Time Crisis:Razing Storm was launched for the PlayStation 3, it was a collection of the previous core titles in the series as well as the spin-off Razing Storm

Time Crisis 5 will hit the arcades in March 2015, around 9 years after its direct predecessor, Time Crisis 4, which was released in 2006. According to the developer, the game will feature a huge cabinet with a pair of 55-in screens, two pedals -the second pedal enables the flanking of the enemies- and light gun controllers, which will allow the players to cycle through different weapons.

Lastly, the game will feature Bandai Namco's Bana Passport function, which will be very appreciated for players, as it allows them to save their progress and continue in a different session or even a different cabinet.
