Xbox One and Steam Users Can Play Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for Free this Weekend

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition brought back the original game that started one of Gearbox's biggest franchises. Complete with updated visuals and 4-player online cooperative action. Now, Xbox One and Steam users can play Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for free this weekend.

The event will start at 12:01 PST on July 18th and end on July 21st at 11:59 PDT. Steam users just have to download the game while only Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can access the game for free.

Equip bazillions of guns as one of 4 trigger-happy mercenaries, each with unique RPG skills. Take on the lawless desolate planet Pandora in pursuit of powerful alien technology: The Vault. With new weapons, visual upgrades, all 4 add-on packs and more, play solo or in 4-player split screen co-op (console only)!
