The publisher 505 Games along with Rebellion announced for 2012 Sniper Elite V2, sequel to the tactical shooter that takes place in the Second World War. "Sniper Elite is a very important title, that defines a genre for itself and hopefully have more success in the associate with the talents that 505 Games has, "said Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion. "It is fantastic for us to be involved in the world of Sniper Elite again. We hope to captivate consumers with Sniper Elite V2, which will be a great game, and be able to win some more awards, "said Chris Kingsley, from Rebellion.

"Sniper Elite has always been a reference of its kind and could never be overcome. It is guaranteed that this sequel can try to be on the skin that supposedly was a sniper during the Second World War with an authenticity never before experienced - not in terms of weapons, but also providing tension moments where you play paralyzing between life and death in a single shot, " commented the Managing Director of 505 Games.

Sniper Elite was launched in 2005, put players in the role of a covert U.S. soldier disguised as a German sniper in Berlin during the last days of the World War II. The title was awarded the Best PC Game / Console TIGA awards in 2005. Sniper Elite v2 will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and should be released in 2012.

  • As long as it's not as boring as the Sniper, I'll play it.

Strangely though, a best PC game doesn't have a PC sequel.
