SSX 2012

SSX is an amazingly addicting game that takes you to real world locations such as the Himalayas, and the Rockies.

There is so much going on then you may realize when you start playing. After you conquer career mode you can move onto Explore that has an insane 153 drops. In all of these races/trick events there are gold medals to earn which for some you have to be on top of your game. Hidden in every track you have Geotags and Snowflakes for you to collect. To add to the already massive amount of gameplay you also have badges you can earn for doing all kinds of things when you’re playing.

SSX 2012 Review

Visually the game holds up very well and looks so satisfying when you are flipping through the air with a super tricky. There is also a great soundtrack (in the opinion of me and my roommate anyway) that has a mix of dubstep/party music. You will have a lot of customization at your disposal from new boards, gear and even mods for those really hard races. There are massive jumps so you can rack up insane trick combos that potentially lead to bonus scores in the millions. Stringing together tricks feels seamless and very satisfying. Beginners will be able to pick up on the controls like they’ve played for hours and pros will be able to hone their skills to set crazy scores. While some screw-ups may seem completely unexplainable, they are pretty easy to look past as you will just be sucked in to continue playing until you beat it.

If you have somehow gotten everything else or need a break from single player you can hop online for some global events. These include tournaments, races, etc. If you’re successful there may be a huge credit prize waiting for you.

I love snowboarding and SSX is a great through the roof game that have brought back hope for more snowboarding games. Even with the many other games I have on the go I will definitely be making more time to play this for months to come.
