About time this got updated

So I've had this bare blog sitting here... Time to give it a little love.

Gotta get this "first entry" monkey off my back, so I suppose I'll start by introducing myself. I'm Matt. Most everywhere on teh internets, I go by the handle bowlingotter. I couldn't do that on NoobFeed because it was too many characters, so I just go by my last name here. That's what my friends use to refer to me anyway. Will you be my friends? :D

Anyway, like many (if not all) of you here, I've been a gamer for as long as I could hold a joystick. I started back in the day with Commodore 64, BASIC games on PC, and Atari 2600. I've grown up with a decent balance between PC gaming and console gaming, so I have a lot of love for both. Aside from gaming, I'm in a couple bands, I'm a big MMA fan and train in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and I'm also a big hockey fan. That's me in a nutshell.

Sooooooo... now that I got that out of the way...

I've been on a random Half-Life 2 kick lately. I played it and the episodes as they first came out, but recently I decided to put in the time to play through them again. This weekend I finished the core game, and last night I finished Episode 1. Time to start the Episode 2 play-through. Ultimately, the whole thing has made me want Episode 3 even more. Valve sure is dragging their heels on that one.

Other than that, I recently finished Super Meat Boy. What a wonderfully addictive game. There's still tons more content to go play and tons more levels to unlock, so I definitely feel that I'll be revisiting it in the future.

I also decided to re-start a play-through of The Witcher. I started it about a year or so ago, but since then I've gone through an OS upgrade and at least one HDD format. Even though I still have all of my saved games, I completely forget everything I've done in the game, and jumping back in to it would be very awkward. So, I started from scratch again last night. The announcement and subsequent gameplay footage of The Witcher 2 has really re-ignited my interest in the game. It's too bad the voice acting and dialogue are pretty bad, even if they are still vastly superior to the pre-enhanced edition version.

My Steam ID, Xbox Live gamertag, PSN ID, and Raptr ID are all the same: bowlingotter. Feel free to add me on any of those platforms, and if we have any games in common, let's play.
