Back in US with that same Emirates flight!

Oh well i am back in US on that same EK203 and EK585. So what you all expect? yes!! Its the same seats. If you guys want to know what was my exprience when I travelled using Business class, please read my earlier blog about Emirates. Ok back to where I am. This time I am travelling with my friend's brother-in-law. I decided that after a long time, I am gonna travel in Economy class although I was offered a Business Class. The reason were that I want to travel with him and talk all throughout the flight and I wanted to experience longer flights after a long time in Economy class although I travelled before. During my flight from Dhaka to Dubai, I sat beside him and had some fun cause I have someone to talk a lot. So my experience from Dhaka to Dubai was pretty pleasant.
In Dubai, it was not pleasant in the airport. First of all we have at 1:03 local time and we had only 57 minutes left for my next flight. That means we had to run. Thankfully, there were crews who were waiting for us, so we didn't have to worry, cause they would make sure that we boarded that flight. Also i got a friend of mine in Dubai (my classmate) who is also travelling to US and he lives in the same state (New Jersey). Due to serious US regulations when it comes to security our next flight was delayed for an hour. We had to go to a security checkpoint, then in boarding gate, then another security checkpoint where I had to open my bags too. Finally I boarded. One thing I didnt tell you guys that I am not sitting with my friend's brother-in-law this time which was very unfortunate, considering the fact its a 14 hour flight. Even worse, i was assigned in the last seat of the airplane. It was both blessing and curse. Curse because I am sitting alone with a stranger (he didnt talk that much), where my friend was sitting 5 rows away and my friend's brother-in-law sitting 10 rows away. Its also a curse because, when there is any turbulance, most of the effect comes to the back and there are more noise. It is howevr blessing since my seat is placed near the cabin crew deck so, it was a bit spacious and i was sitting on the aisle. There was bathroom beside my seat so I can take bathroom break anytime without disturbing others. However staying near the bathroom is also a curse, since it stinks at one point. The seats was however was good for an Economy class. It was comfy and have enough leg room for me to sleep properly, although I had neck pain since I tried to angle my head a bit resting on a small seat pillow (I should have bought a neck pillow). Unlike the borken seats in the Economy class, the functions here were working properly except those power sockets. It could not power up my Alienware. My Alienware was charged in my home but got discharged when one of my friends back home used it without noticing that the charger was already put into the bag. So once again, i could not play games nr i could not finish my work for my senior design. I was pissed. So i spent my time sleeping all the time and injuring my neck for while. I should have taken that Business class. Nah! I dont want to travel in business class provided there are friends and families travelling in Economy class. I also watched the Informant, which is more or less a good movie. I also played some of those horrible inflight games. These games are freaking unresponsive to buttons. It takes 200-300 ms for the sprites to respond when I press the buttons. In fact, i stopped playing those and played chess the rest of the flight. At least its a great time pass for me.
Later when we landed in JFK, my friend's brother in law had just lost a luggage in Dubai. Maybe it was because security was so beefed up, that while the authorities was sorting out every single luggages, they lost some. Some of the other passengers also lost their luggages too. Lucky for me, I got all my luggages. Due to current situation, I thought security would be even higher in the immigration but it was just the same as befor and I ended up talking with the officer about life in Hoboken lol! So overall it was more or less a good journey, provided there were good food and good customer service. Most improtantantly no jet lag for me. So I am pretty much energetic enough to start my classes of my final semester tomorrow.
