Caught playing too many games!

Games by Buckley on  Apr 04, 2011

I've allowed myself to get into that unfortunate funk where I've started far too many games and it's making it difficult to finish any of them.

I'm heavy into Crysis 2 right now, but I'm having a hard time finishing the single player campaign. Not because it's especially hard, and not because it's not awesome and getting better and better as I go, but because I'm really enjoying the multiplayer mode. When I've put in a couple of hours into the single player, I have trouble resisting the urge to play a few games of Crash Site. Addicting.

There's also the 3DS thing, too. I'm still kind of smitten with it to the point that I'm looking at pointless menus and aimlessly browsing the settings just because I can. Pilotwings is getting some play and I just picked up Ridge Racer 3D and Rayman 3D.

Ridge Racer is fun, but so far, it's pretty easy, and there's this really annoying master-of-the-obvious female announcer who has to tell you out loud everything that is going on. YOU'RE IN THE SLIPSTREAM! NICE LINE! WHAT'S GOING ON? PASS THIS GUY AND YOU'RE IN THE LEAD! Thank god for the option to turn off the voice. Racing in 3D sure is fun, though. But why no on-line play??

Rayman 3D is interesting, but feels sloppy. I just started, so I'll have to see if it improves. It kind of abuses the 3D effect, though, in a way that it takes every possible opportunity to throw things at your face. Even running through typical landscapes has leaves and grass feeling like it's going to hit you. I've been finding the 3D effect in this particular game more irritating than anything, and it's the first time I've felt compelled to just turn it off.

AND, I really need to get back in the Telltale driver's seat. I've been trying to get myself to stick to the Sam & Max series for quite some time, and now that Back to the Future 101 is free, I kinda want to play that.

Plus I started Gray Matter a while back and never finished that, either.

FOCUS, BUCKLEY.
