Shelly is a muscular, dateable character with CHARM SPECS who prefers stability and dislikes volume control.

Initial Encounter

To begin your relationship with Shelley, you'll need to locate the Rod in one of the bedroom Closets. Look for the Rod that contains Hangers, but make sure you interact with the Rod itself rather than the individual Hangers in Date Everything!

This is crucial for triggering the first meeting properly. When Shelley appears, she'll greet you with a highly enthusiastic welcome.

You should match her energy level by responding with, "I am SO good, my dude." During this exchange, she'll realise she forgot to introduce herself properly. When this happens, encourage her by saying, "Go on then," which will prompt Shelley to give you her complete introduction.

As she continues her animated conversation, you can comment on her volume by saying, Yeah, I can tell by the way you're yelling."

Follow this up by asking, "Are you upset with me?" Despite her demeanour, Shelley will deny being upset and quickly exits the scene, concluding your first encounter in Date Everything!

The Feather Duster Incident

When you visit Shelley for the second time, she'll confess that she spent the entire night thinking about you. Respond warmly by telling her, "What a coincidence, I thought about you all night too." This will cause her to blush, creating a sweet moment between you both.

During this visit, you'll notice Shelley is holding a Feather Duster. Ask her about it using either "What's with the feather duster?" or "Were you doing some cleaning?"

Both options will work effectively. Shelley will then give you the Feather Duster, which unlocks a collectible item for your inventory in Date Everything!

She'll request that you use the Feather Duster on her, though she may appear somewhat anxious about this request. When you ask about her nervousness, she'll reassure you that she's fine.

The key here is to dust her gently and avoid any aggressive movements. Shelley will express genuine appreciation for your gentle approach and thank you for the experience.

Despite this positive interaction, Shelley will maintain her overly cheerful attitude. Make sure to ask her about this behaviour, as it's essential for story progression.

She'll explain the difficulties of being a shelf and express a longing to be someone with many supportive friends, implying she lacks such support herself.

When she asks where she might be in such a situation, respond with "Happier?" She'll deny this but will launch into a discussion about positive thinking as her coping mechanism. Shelley will then ask you to return the following day.

Role Reversal Experience

Your third encounter with Shelley begins with her attempting to embrace you. Make sure you choose to embrace her back, as this sets the tone for what follows. Shelley will then explain her plan to help you understand her perspective by experiencing what she goes through in Date Everything!

She'll mention receiving numerous trophies from Hank, who apparently threw them at her rather than placing them gently. After responding to this revelation, Shelley will instruct you to get on your hands and knees. The only viable response option appears to be "Wow, hot."

When she asks about your feelings in this position, tell her you're "A little nervous." Shelley will then cause you to lose balance, resulting in everything falling off you. This sequence unlocks another collectible item in Date Everything!

After this experience, express your feelings honestly by saying," STRESSED!" This acknowledgement will lead Shelley to continue with her positivity-focused discussion. She'll then dismiss you, asking you to revisit her on another day.

The Truth Revealed

During your fourth visit, you'll encounter Shelley maintaining her relentlessly positive attitude while subtly denying that she spent the night in distress.

Show concern by saying, "Please don't stress yourself out on my behalf." This will trigger the appearance of Dasha, the desk, and another character who will play a crucial role in this encounter.

When Dasha arrives, respond with "I don't mind" to her presence. Dasha reveals that she came to speak with Shelley because everyone else is too afraid of hurting her feelings, though ironically, this revelation hurts Shelley in the process.

Address this tactless approach by telling Dasha, "Don't you think you could have said that a bit nicer?"

After Dasha apologises, she'll continue to press Shelley about her issues, telling her to stop avoiding her problems.

You can then ask Dasha for "something you can do to help her chill out." This question will prompt Shelley to reveal the root of her problem; finally, she's been assembled incorrectly.

Ask the direct question: "Shelley... are you improperly mounted?" Shelley will admit this is indeed the case. After she expresses all her pent-up frustration, she suggests, "Can't we just remount you properly?"

Shelley will explain that nobody else was willing to help her with this problem and that you're the only person she trusts completely.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to provide a satisfactory solution immediately, and this encounter will end somewhat abruptly.

You may need to complete other tasks before continuing, but this isn't necessary. Simply visit Shelley one more time to complete her storyline and unlock an ending.

Final Resolution

Your fifth and final visit to Shelley begins with her acknowledging that excessive positivity can become toxic. When she apologises for her behaviour, respond with understanding by saying, "I don't blame you considering your situation."

When she asks about dealing with fear, she offers the wisdom that "Learning to deal with it can be a lifelong struggle."

Shelley will then present you with a diploma that certifies you as a shelf, which serves as another collectible item. Thank her for this gesture. Following this exchange, Shelley will pose a crucial question that determines your ending:

"...do you think... maybe we could be more than friends?"

You'll have three response options that lead to different conclusions:

"Friends is actually all I'm interested in" leads to the Friendship ending. "I'd love that, Shelley" results in the Love ending. "Hell no" potentially leads to the Hate ending.
