Textbox-chan represents one of the more unique dating options in Date Everything!, serving as the game's user interface itself. This character requires you to appreciate the game's design elements and meet specific requirements before she becomes available for dating.

Building a relationship with Textbox-chan involves understanding her role as the interface through which you experience the entire game.

Finding Textbox-Chan

You can encounter Textbox-chan by using the Dateviators on any menu that lacks dialogue options. Two methods will trigger her appearance. First, access your cell phone and select Main Menu from the available options. Instead of confirming or canceling this choice, use the Dateviators on the confirmation box that appears.

Second, attempt to speak with the same Dateable character twice within the same day. This action will generate a black popup box indicating the character's unavailability, but you can use the Dateviators on this popup to access Textbox-chan.

Building Your Relationship

Textbox-chan will only engage in new conversations after you have met specific numbers of other Dateables throughout the game. She values your experience with the user interface and wants you to explore the game thoroughly. New scenes become available once you have encountered 16, 41, 60, and 80 different Dateables. You can track your progress through the Date-a-Dex system.

You do not need to complete full relationship storylines with other characters for Textbox-chan to speak with you. She only requires that you have formally met these characters and logged them into your Date-a-Dex. Avoid pushing her to continue conversations if you have not reached the required number of Dateables, as this will negatively impact her feelings toward you.

When you talk to her, praise the design choices she makes, like the fonts, colors, and other features of the interface. Textbox-chan wants to be known for her stylish designs instead of just being a way to get to other characters. Your answers should show that you appreciate how she looks and how she works.

Love Ending

The love ending becomes available during Textbox-chan's final scene, which occurs after meeting 80 Dateables. Throughout your interactions, you must have consistently complimented her appearance and shown understanding of her desire to be useful. When she asks for your opinion of her during this final conversation, select "I think you have some really great ideas" along with an emoji face. After she expresses her love for you, respond with "I'm yours" to confirm the love ending.

Friends Ending

The friends ending also requires reaching Textbox-chan's final scene after meeting 80 Dateables. You must maintain positive interactions throughout your relationship and choose "I think you have some really great ideas" when prompted. However, when Textbox-chan confesses her feelings during this final scene, select "I'm sorry, I just want to be friends" to establish the friendship ending.

Hate Ending

Creating a negative relationship with Textbox-chan involves insulting or dismissing the game's user interface during your conversations. You can also achieve the hate ending by focusing exclusively on her physical appearance rather than acknowledging her functional purpose.

During the final scene, if you choose "You are so pretty, Textbox-chan, so beautiful and stylish" when she asks what you like about her, this will trigger the hate ending because it ignores her utilitarian value.
