Death Stranding How to Defeat Higgs

After traveling through America in Death Stranding Higgs is the only one standing between you and Amelie. Here's how to take down the terrorist leader.

Higgs will open the fight with an assault rifle. Peak over any cover and have him shoot at you. When he's reloading, run up and punch him in his face. If you time it right you'll make contact before him. After the third hit, prep your stand and run behind Higgs to knock him down. When on the floor start kicking the crap out of him. Afterward, he'll teleport away. Just do the same thing.

If you're confident you can run towards and evade the trail of bullets. Followed up with a strand takedown.

During the second phase, Higgs will start to use his knife and teleport more frequently. As before, if you time your melee attack you should make contact before Higgs does. In addition, if you happen to be out of his line of sight you can run up behind him for a free hit. He'll make this known by sarcastically asking where Sam is.

The last phase has you fighting Higgs face to face. Keep an eye on your stamina meter. If it gets too low you'll be open for attacks. During the fight, Cyptobiotes will appear, make sure to eat them or Higgs will.

During the halfway point Higgs will start blocking and evading. Don't take the bait. Wait for him to attack and counter-attack by evading followed by a punch.

Eventually, Higgs will fall and Sam can recover Amelie.
