Feeling Evil Anyone?

Well I have started my gaming mode again and spent most of the day playing Resident Evil 5 in between doing some loads of laundry. Soon I will be going to grab a shower since it's warm in my room and I'm feeling sweaty and nasty from being in here most of the day. I finally feel like I am making good progress with the game now. Since when I started this morning I was only on Chapter 2-1, once I get out of the shower I will be starting Chapter 4-2. Which doesn't sound like I've made it very far but for anyone who has played the game they will no I have done tons of things to get to this point, although I personally didn't expect the game to be this long myself. I really was expecting to be almost finished with the game or even actually finish it today but it appears that won't be the case. The game is going a bit better now that I finally figured out I could actually upgrade the weapons I have which I can't beleive it took me to Chapter 2 in order to figure that out, but I now have a fully upgraded H&K P8 (Handgun), a fully upgraded Ithaca M37 (Shotgun) and a nearly full upgraded S&W M29 (Magnum). I've also done a few small upgrades to the S75 (Rifle) but that one still has a ways to go in order to be maxed out. I'm going to work on maxing out the S&W M29 next then save the rifle for last.
Other than hating the combat system between the not being able to move while aiming or using machette, and the pain in the ass inventory system where you have to trade with Sheva back and forth constanty to get things like the herbs if you have decent weapons and ammo it's just a pain and poorly done IMO. I'm used to it by now with all the hours I have put in, but it's definitely not user friendly that's for sure, and I'm sure some support it and say it adds to the strategy and if you're into that then you'd be right, but to me it's crap and I honestly can't wait until I do finish the game since I will most likely put it away and never play it again. I'm not trying to be down on the Resident Evil Franchise, overall it is a great game, and still one I would review on the upper end of the scale if I were to review it, but I had forgotten why I stopped playing them before and after dealing with the combat system and the lack of common sense (IMO) that went into it I sure remember now. Sorry for the rant, but after several hours with the game I just wanted to complain a little about it to get the irritated feeling I have over such poorly designed (once again IMO) controls in what would have been one of my favorite games if not for that, instead it's probably the game I have enjoyed the least (game play wise) on the PS3. Thank you for your time and you can carry on now. :P
