Despite its rough couple of hours, Metal Gear Survive offers a unique take on the franchise. The new setting and a new adversary provides challenges obstacles to overcome, especially with the new survival mechanics in play. It may not compare to the outstanding achievement that is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but it provided a refreshing take on the formula.
