Game of the Month: January 2017

The month is over and 2017 began with a bang. With such acclaim releases such as Gravity Rush 2, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Yazuka 0, and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue gamers spent most of their time indoors instead of freezing outside. Now with the month over what was the best game to release in January 2017?

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was exactly what fans of the franchise have been asking for since Resident Evil 4. Yes, The Revelations franchise did help to deliver the survival-horror experience that was absent from the franchise since Resident Evil 5 but it Resident Evil 7: Biohazard excelled. The dark disturbing atmosphere coupled with diverse environments and outstanding antagonists helped drive the game's fear factor. Surviving The Bakers required not only nimble fingers but mental fortitude.
