How To Improve The Nintendo Switch In 2018
New updates that the Nintendo Switch should have

2018 is almost here and that means a fresh start for all things video games. It's almost been a year since the release of the Nintendo Switch and the system has quickly surpassed the Wii U, selling over 10 million units. Now, what could the system improve on?
Dedicated Voice Chat
The Nintendo Switch doesn't have a lot of multiplayer focused games with the exception being Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8. The games feature a fully fleshed out multiplayer experience and a growing community thanks to regular updates. However, the game is missing dedicated voice functions found on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The dedicated voice application found on the Apple and Google Play store is a start but the system needs a built-in function. Lobbies and party chat functions built into the system would make the multiplayer experience much more seamless.
Extend The Reward System
If you're an achievement/trophy hunter tracking your progress is directly linked to how many achievements/trophies you've collected. Recently, Sony has decided to reward players for earning trophies and Microsoft has been doing the same for years. Nintendo does rewards players but it's limited to application use and purchasing Nintendo games through the eShop. By providing similar rewards for completing specific objectives, timed challenges, and playing Nintendo games not only would the player base remain consistent but encourage gamers to return to games to earn more points.
Shared Virtual Console
Some of the Wii U's greatest games, like Pokken Tournament, were ported to the Nintendo Switch. However, not everything was given that treatment with games like Xenoblade Chronicles X getting left behind. Considering the Nintendo Switch's design Wii U games should be playable on the system since it has a touchscreen and is more powerful. Giving Nintendo gamers the ability to play not only their Wii U games on the Switch but 3DS titles would be incredible. Especially if Nintendo provides cross saving through a cloud.
