You can manually install the game using the following steps;

  1. Right-click on the Desktop and choose New and then Folder.
  2. Insert the game disk into the drive.
  3. Exit any autoplay screen that may appear.
  4. Open My Computer.
  5. Right-click on the CD-rom drive containing the disk and choose Open.
  6. Click on Edit at the top of the window.
  7. Click on Select All.
  8. Click on Edit again.
  9. Click on Copy.
  10. Close the window.

  12. When this is complete, remove all disks from any drives.
  13. Open the New Folder.
  14. Open the Setup folder.
  15. Double-click on the Setup icon that looks like a computer.

Possible Solution #4:

Run the game as administrator / enable administrative privileges

Possible Solution #5:

Got errors reading the disk on install? The Binaries\DFA.dll giving you a bad day? This will allow you to install the game through safe mode. I suggest trying to disable AVG first and then try to install, but if your like me and it that doesn’t work (even uninstalling it didn’t work), here is what to do:

(1). Re-boot your comp into safe mode (press F8 during start up).

(2). Choose safe mode from the list provided.

(3). While in safe mode open up the run window (windows key + R) and type in “cmd” and press enter/ok.

(4). In the command console window that opened up put in the following:

REG ADD “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer” /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D “Service”

*What this does is add a registry key that will allow the windows installer service to work in safe mode*

(5). Next enter the following into the command console:

net start msiserver

*What this does is start the windows installer service*

(6). Once it says the service has successfully started in the command console you can close it, and install your game while still in safe mode.

Problem #2: Stats aren’t tracking correctly when playing Medal of Honor PC

Answer:

This is an issue that is currently being addressed by EA

Problem #3: Encounter transfer error during installation / when installing Medal of Honor 2010 PC

Possible Solutions:

Transfer errors during installation can be caused by a number of conflicts. There are a number of steps you can take to remove the source of conflict before attempting to reinstall the game:

1. Applications and processes running in the background can interfere with the installation program. Make sure you end unnecessary background processes before starting the installation process.
2. It is suggested that you have at least 2 gigabytes of free hard disk drive space when installing a patch.

3. Certain temporary files can conflict with game files during installation and gameplay. You can empty the temporary file folders before starting the installation program.

4. Some disk drives can read the game disk more easily than others. If you have multiple disk drives, try installing the game from a different disk drive.

5. If the installation continues to fail, try performing a manual installation of the game to bypass common read issues.

6. Issues related to reading the files on a disk can often be pinpointed and resolved through disk drive troubleshooting steps.

7. Sometimes, the conflict occurs within the installation program files. You can perform installation troubleshooting steps to pinpoint and resolve the issue.

Reinstalled game and it works. can join servers.

Possible Solution #1:

What is happening is that as Punkbuster is already running (as you can see in Task Manager) the Punkbuster install decides not to complete, as you already have it…

You can use the following command lines to install Punkbuster manually. To get your command prompt, type in “cmd” in your Windows 7/Vista search bar or if you’re using XP, click “run” and then type “cmd”.

pbsvc_moh.exe –language= –install-dlls=

= en, fr, de, es, it, ru, pl
= Folder where the MP folder resides, i.e. “C:\Program Files(x86)\Medal of Honor\MP”
