However, this hasn't stopped the veteran warrior and now finds himself in a new home with a family and new gods looking for his help and death. Judging from the gameplay footage this God of War will feature gameplay different from previous games but will remain loyal to the atmosphere of the God of War franchise and the anger filled personality of Kratos.
The Last of Us Part II (Naughty Dog / Sony Interactive Entertainment)
The Last of Us shows that with a strong narrative and characters old concepts, such as the zombie apocalypse, can be done with outstanding flare. Joel and Ellie's relationship is built slowly on the foundation of trust as the 2 travel together. Mature themes such as death, dependence, and sacrifice are tested throughout, leading up to an emotional conclusion. Naughty Dog as shown with the trailers leading up to The Last of Us Part II's release that they will not censor any of the graphic violence that comes with surviving in a dangerous world full of monsters. With Sony's extensive library of exclusives growing each month players can expect The Last of Us Part II to be another reason to buy a PS4 if you don't own one yet.
Red Dead Redemption II (Rockstar Games)
Red Dead Redemption was another one of Rockstar's many successes. Set in the open west during the early 1900s Rockstar successfully recaptured what it was like to live during this period with their own take to it. Using elements such as stories, myths, and violence to create a story of redemption as John Marston attempts to earn his freedom after a lifetime of criminal activity. Now we get to see the events prior to Red Dead Redemption in the upcoming sequel. If Grand Theft Auto V is any indicator of how much Rockstar has learned from creating open world games Red Dead Redemption 2 will be bigger, better, and more elaborate than the last game in every way.
