New monitor + 2 friendly warnings

Sorry I wasn't online in the last 5 days but I was fairly busy... 3 away helping people with their problems and 2 days of reinstalling my windows and programs(yes, that's how much it take me to reinstall and configure all of my programs...) as I had a strange and rather unique problem with Nero(it wouldn't detect my writer if I would open the program after 2 minutes of the startup...), and as usual I find the cause after trashing the whole system... It seems that there's some kind of  conflict between BitDefender Antivirus 2010 and Nero(be it 6, 7 or 8|I haven't tried the 9 series) which I didn't find any solution to. So, because there doesn't seem to be any way for me to draw their attention upon the problem(at least I don't see any mails or possibilities to contact them on their customer support links...), I wanted to warn you about the problem that you might get if with the new version of the antivirus. Hope somebody will eventually tell them soon and fix the problem, as it's a lot better than the 2009 version...

Putting this aside, I've finally changed my old 17" CRT with a new 19" LCD. Although I'm kinda dead broak at the moment and the starting of the new school year is just around the corner, this offer was too good to pass by. It's an ASUS 195D btw... And I got it for somewhere around 100$, which is about 50$ cheaper than any other 19" LCD around. It's fine and dandy and seems to make every penny, still I observed 2 "problems" with it. Although this would have figured at that price, they're not that critical. The first one is that it's kinda bright but nothing you can't solve if you turn it down all the way and the gamma level reduced from the graphics card settings ...and the second one is that it has a problem with the image on the 640x480 resolution at 75Hz as it's way off to the left and it cannot be centered. This one can also be solved by forcing the DirectX to run at a fix refresh rate(60Hz or 72Hz). Overall I'm satisfied with it and I hope I'll get my money back soon so I can get a new system, too(I have some financial difficulties at the moment, but I don't want to get into more detail).

And lastly, I wanted to give another friendly warning about Turkish pepper pickles(or pickled peppers, I don't know what's the term exactly), as you'll have a big "backfire" when the time comes :P... I usually eat my porridge(/stew) with peppers, so I'm kinda accustomed to the mouth stinging sensation(which wasn't anything out of the ordinary), but last night, while I was of the crapper,  I was biting my fingers trying to redistribute the pain that this little vegetables were giving to the other exit of my body :P So, yeah... be cautious when you eat them! :D

Take care!
