NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... How to Ride Animals

Riding animals is available in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... but only after completing the Boar Hunt mission. Here's how.

The mission is available once you get further into the story, the game will indicate when side missions are available. At this moment you can head to the item shop owner by him is an old man. Quest givers have special icons over their heads and this old man will give you the Boar Hunt mission. Head to the Northern Plains and towards Aerie, which is required by the story to final the animal. You'll find the boar needed to kill but be warned it can kill you easily and kill the surrounding Shades before fighting the animal.

To beat the boar at a lower level circle the enemy and avoid being in its front especially when it charges. Remain close and deal damage accordingly, when it starts to track you and grind its hooves it'll charge. Avoid this and return damage while using the Javeline spell to temporarily stun the boar. With the boar dead you can return to the old man with the boar's tusk and gain access to riding animals. You can only ride sleeping boars but they're quick and strong.
