Persona5: The Phantom X Guide | Every Free Character & How To Unlock Them

Persona5: The Phantom X features numerous characters throughout the game, and many of these characters are available for free to those who have downloaded the base game. The way many of these characters are unlocked is through progression throughout the game, as well as by completing different quests and participating in different challenges. 

In the game, you will start out as the main character, whose name is Nagisa Kamisiro. In order to have other characters, you’ll have to unlock them and “draw contracts”. You will need to get free tickets in order to draw contracts; however, you will need to pay with real money once you have used up your tickets, so be mindful.

If you are playing through the game, you can get some free characters after completing some quests and other challenges. You won’t be stuck with only one character the whole time, but there are possible ways to get some free characters in the game without spending money.

If you are able to complete all the tasks within this list, you’ll have a total of 10 free characters within Persona5: The Phantom X. 

How To Unlock Free Characters Within Persona5: The Phantom X

There are a total of 10 different free characters that you can unlock within the game if you follow the tasks to unlock them below. 

Persona5: The Phantom X Character To Unlock:

1. Nagisa Kamisiro/Wonder: Unlocks automatically when starting the game.
2. Lufel/Cattle: Unlocks after entering Mementos for the second time.
3. Kotone Montagne/Mont: Unlocks after completing a tutorial contract.
4. Motoha Arai/Closer: Unlocks during the progression of Kiuichi’s Palace in the Metaverse.
5. Kayo Tomiyama/Okyann: Unlock after clearing Technician stage 1 of the Velvet Trials.
6. Tomoko Noge/Mako: Unlocks after clearing Technician stage 6 of the Velvet Trials.
7. Shun Kano/Soy: Unlock during the “Outcome of Pride” main mission.
8. Ryuji Sakamoto/Skull: Unlocks after completing all seven steps of Plan One or through the Newcomer contract banner.
9. Ann Takamaki/Panther: Unlocks after completing all seven steps of Plan One or through the Newcomer contract banner.
10. Morgana/ Mona: Unlocks after completing all seven steps of the Plan One or through the Newcomer contract banner.

After completing all these different tasks, you will officially have a total of 10 different free characters within Persona5: The Phantom X ready to use and enjoy throughout gameplay.
