PS Dominance Will Continue With More Exclusives?
PlayStation by Druuna on Mar 16, 2022
There has been an argument between gamers for decades and it would seem that it is one that does not appear to be getting any closer to being resolved: "Which is better, PlayStation or Xbox?"
It is a question that has divided not just friends but also families. It would seem that there is no clear answer to this question and it likely will depend on the person's point of view. However, when looking at just the console gaming market, it would appear that PlayStation is currently dominating.
PlayStation's continued release of exclusives ensure domination
This domination can be seen by the release of exclusives for the PlayStation consoles. These exclusives are games that are not available on any other platform, meaning that if someone wants to play them they need to have a PlayStation console.
Furthermore, it looks like they are not planning on slowing down anytime soon, with an impressive lineup of exclusive games scheduled for release in the coming months and likely beyond.
There have been a number of games like God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and Spider-Man that have all come out exclusively on PlayStation consoles in recent years, and there's no telling what other surprises Sony may have in store for gamers in the future, either.
PlayStation's strategy of releasing exclusives has been difficult to match
This strategy of releasing exclusives has been a key factor in PlayStation's success, and it doesn't look like other console manufacturers are able to compete.
Xbox One has been struggling to keep up, with many of its biggest releases also coming out on PC. And Nintendo Switch, while enjoying some success thanks to its portability, doesn't have anything that can really compare to the likes of some of the biggest titles to have been released recently.
Let's not forget, there have been a number of exclusive titles to have been launched for each of these consoles, though, with Xbox exclusively providing titles such as Halo, Gears of War, Forza Horizon, and Crackdown, whilst the Nintendo Switch features game titles such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Many of these titles can, though, be found as esports to bet on when using the Betway app.
However, it is clear that PlayStation has the edge when it comes to exclusives, and this is a key reason why they continue to dominate in the console gaming market.
Final Thoughts
With no sign of them slowing down, it would appear that PlayStation will remain on top for the foreseeable future. It will be interesting to see how PlayStation continues to dominate the console gaming market in years to come.
With a strong lineup of exclusives, it doesn't seem like they're going to be losing their dominance any time soon, and this is something that enthusiasts of PlayStation may look to point to when they have the argument mentioned at the beginning of this article once again.
