Renowned Explorers DLC More to Explore Video Runthrough

Sleeper hit, Renowned Explorers, is releasing its first expansion, called More to Explore, as downloadable content (DLC) on Steam today. We received a complimentary code to check out what’s new in this addition to the choice-filled strategy game full of wacky tales and replay value, which you’ll see detailed in the video below.

There are two main gameplay differences: Treasure choices and campfires. With the first, the random treasures that crews found during an expedition will receive a little extra. Each artifact will also come with a set of choices that offer a little more value to a treasure. For campfires, the crew must first adventure through any given map. By exploring more nodes, the bar at the bottom of the screen will fill up. Once full, it’s possible to light a fire and sit down, to tell a unique story among the crew. Along with more resources, some instances can also provide permanent changes to the expedition. Furthermore, cards that present these story choices can be added to a deck after each run of the game, successful or otherwise.

In particular, fans of a hearty challenge will find a lot to play and play again in Renowned Explorers. Encounters can quickly become tough to beat, certainly as the rock-paper-scissors element of combat constantly fluctuate what strategy is most ideal for survival.
