Sometimes many of us are in doubt when it comes to buying a good game that got old. In most cases if we hadn’t bought a good game that everyone loved, we wait for a price cut. But with so many games releasing every month, forgetting about games we wanted to buy is nothing surprising. We even overlook when there’re big sales going and those games absolutely worth the money. So this week, I’ve decided to list down five games priced under $20 that you won’t regret buying. If you haven’t played these games yet, buy them, and you’ll know that you had missed playing something good.
Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition
Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is a solid game with great precision on the fighting system, supported by fantastically designed characters and an exciting story. It’s without a doubt one of the best fighting games this generation. You can play it for countless hours and it’ll never get dull. There are plenty of extra content available with a great online multiplayer. Some may complain that it doesn't add anything new to the table. Perhaps that’s the idea behind this refurbishment. Whatever deficient were found at the PlayStaion 2 version won’t be notable anymore. Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is exactly what you’d want in a fighting game.
Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year Edition
Batman: Arkham City doesn’t establish anything new to what was already done in a Batman game, but it manages to deliver such a strong experience that it’s needless to complain about what should and shouldn’t be done. What you get is a combat system that’s as fluid and engaging as they come, a dark, intense story, great characters, and a chaotic world that immediately sucks you in. If you enjoy action adventure games or are just a huge Batman fan in general, Arkham City won’t disappoint.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
When you start Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier it goes straight off and makes you use a cover and “plan ahead” strategy system that other games such as the gears of war franchise use that makes you think about where to put yourself and your team than running in and hoping for the best. An example of this is if you stand in the open to long you will keep seeing the same game over screen over and over again. This game is meant to be play very strategically with the uses of camouflage and UAV’s while using cover to tactfully complete your missions which is often the best thing to do within a couple of missions as the objectives state that they are “No alert” missions, this means you will have to plan ahead to avoid patrolling guards finding dead bodies and rising the alarm. With its nice story and multiplayer features, it’s a game any FPS fan will love to play.
Crysis 3
Crysis 3 is an excellent game despite the moderate multiplayer experience. With an excellent array of characters that encompass a story that includes sensitive themes such as betrayal, humanity, and sacrifice makes single-player campaign a worthwhile experience that surpasses previous games in the franchise. While it starts off with a lot of potential the final chapters fall short due to dull mission design and tawdry final boss that fails to compare to any of the boss fights in Crysis 2, but ending does offer a sense of closure. Prophet's journey to prevent the end of the world is definitely worth taking but don't expect much of a challenge, after all he's more than human.
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
LEGO Star Wars III The Clone Wars without a doubt a great game to play with amazingly deep mechanics. The game is the most receptive on yet in the series when it comes to functionality. And the objectives given to the players presented in the style of an adventure game that not only forces you to discover, but to use your intellect. It's undoubtedly great fun to play and the co-op mode is truly a blast. If you think you’ve played the best LEGO game already, think again.
I hope you like these games as much as I did. If you’ve already played all of them, buy one to your friends as a Holiday gift.
Merry Christmas and Happy Gaming.
