In Windrose, potions and buffs will allow you to survive hard battles and go on longer journeys. These objects provide you with additional health or arm your weapons with greater power, over a certain period of time. In order to begin preparing them, you need to adhere to a certain mission providing you with the appropriate recipes.
This guide will guide you on how to prepare your workspace and how to make the various potions you can use on your trip.

Setting up Your Alchemy Station
You must unlock an Alchemy Station and construct one before you can combine any liquids. Next to it, you should also construct a Stove since it is an upgrade to your crafting. You have set up your stations, and the first thing you have to do is a Small Clay Bottle. You will have to make some of them since they contain the liquids you will be making. It is all these bottles that lay the foundation of all the potions and buffs you will be creating in the game.

Finding Materials and Making a Base
All potions need an Alchemical Base to add other ingredients to. The Small Clay Bottle and a Misty Orchid are used to make this base. This flower is found around Ancient Ruins or in other biomes around the islands. You will hear when it is close, as it shines, and, when it does so, it makes a very clear noise. When you have enough flowers, and enough bottles, you can then make the Alchemical Base at your station to unlock the rest of your recipes.

Types of Potions and Using Buffs
You may decide what buffs you wish to make with your base prepared. A Greater Healing Potion will heal you 75% of the way and a Small Healing Potion heals you 40%. To fight more efficiently, you can prepare a potion that will enhance your Melee Damage at 10% in 15 minutes.
A potion is also available that will take you instantly to your last Revival Point. These buffs are like food, and you could have them on at the same time you consume a meal. In the case of drinking a damage buff, it will appear in your inventory and you will see that you inflict more damage to creatures immediately.
