Fields of Elysium final moments has you face to face with a God. Hermes is ready to die to Persephone and won't be taken down easily. Here's how to defeat the Gods' Messenger.
Hermes is not as fast and his God of War representation. Hermes has 3 primary attacks; a charge beam similar to the rock sentries that can be blocked, a charge that can be parried, and a series of basic swipes. The basic attacks come in 2 sets, one that has an unblockable attack at the beginning. The second that has the unblockable attack at the end.
The best option is to remain far and use your arrows. Hermes lacks ranged attacks, with the only one being the easily telegraphed beam attack. Just watch for his left arm to lift before blocking.
If you remain close Hermes will use his speed to create distance. Stay in longer and Hermes will use an AOE blast to push Alexios back. You can use the Spear of Leonidas to cancel a majority of Hermes attacks if you require breathing room but the Spartan Kick is useless against him. Keep up the assault and Hermes will fall.
