Earlier today, Insomniac Games gave an update for their upcoming PS5 title Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The development team was absolutely blown away by the response to the game, and they have gone a little bit deeper into details surrounding it. The game will be taking place in the Winter, about a year after the previous game. Christmas is approaching, and a high-tech crime syndicate has gone to war with an energy company. Their battleground? Miles’ new neighborhood in Harlem.
One thing that Insomniac has heard many fans worry about is the status of Peter Parker. The most recognizable Spider-Man was the focal point of the first game, but in the reveal for this stand-alone title, he is relegated to a voiceover in a trailer while Miles dons his own iconic Spider-Man suit. Well, there’s no reason to worry, Insomniac Games Creative Director Brian Horton assured fans things were on the up-and-up. “Many of you fans have wondered if Peter Parker is OK. Don’t worry, we still have much of Peter’s story left to tell. But this game is all about Miles, a critical part of our Spider-Man universe, and you won’t want to miss what happens,” Horton said.
The winter wonderland of New York is going to be an incredible setting to showcase the PS5’s advanced technology, powers including raytracing, virtually no loading times, 3D Audio, and the all new DualSense controller will be on full display in the next chapter in Insomniac’s take on the Spider-Man franchise.
