Metro Exodus hasn't been in a positive light since its move from Steam to the Epic Games Store weeks before the game's release. However, perhaps the new trailer will bring the game back into some positive light as it explores Artyom's nightmare.
The trailer mixes together Metro and outside combat as Artyom attempts to survive the horrors of the outside world while trying to keep his father safe. It's an extremely well-done trailer that captures a lot of intensely dark themes and deadly standoffs against both human and supernatural creatures.
Dmitry Glukhovsky, the author of the original Metro novels that the games are based on mentions in a press release associated with this trailer.
“Observing 4A Games removing my characters from their pages and creating them on screen has been a privilege. I hope fans will enjoy this new look at Artyom’s world. “
Metro Exodus is due to launch this month on February 15 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
