Code Vein is finally launching this September and today, Bandai Namco released a new trailer. This one focusing on the companion Jack Rutherford.

Jack is a talented close-quarters ally that can aid the player in combat. Having Jack join you in combat is entirely optional, with players having a selection of allies to choose from or you can play the entire game alone.
If you're not convinced about the partner system, Bandai Namco's development team did make a video highlighting the importance of your partners. Showcasing how the team ensured that these NPCs were much more advanced by learning from gamers infamous feedback about NPCs.
Code Vein launches this September 27th for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. I had the chance to play it at E3 2019. Stating that I had to "take each encounter seriously and if you want that added challenge, going it alone is always an option."
