Following years of strife, what remains of the Reef has fallen to lawlessness. You and Cayde-6 are sent to personally investigate the recent unrest. Upon arrival, you soon discover the most-wanted criminals in the Prison of Elders have organized an escape. Beyond the Vanguard’s authority, you’ll pursue these fugitives deep into the Reef. Explore new regions, awaken new powers, earn powerful weapons, and uncover long lost Awoken secrets. The hunt is on.
Forsaken will bring players back to the Tangled Shore, a collection of asteroids. Cayde-6 has been filling the Prison of Elders with powerful enemies who end up escaping and filling the universe with those same hostiles. The Fallen will return as the main enemies along with Barons, 8 powerful enemies who escaped the prison who are the most powerful versions of the new enemy type called the Skorn.
Bungie gives a short look at the new enemies who look like they came from Doom. Using flame torches and fails and charge aggressively.

Gambit is the new PvEvP mode coming to the game that includes competitive and cooperative elements. Taking place in the Prison of Elders where players kill enemies for currency and deposit what they've earned or stop the other team from doing the same.
