Far Cry Primal Update Coming in April Adds All New Mode
Challenge yourself in Far Cry Primal's Survival Mode
News by Grayshadow on Mar 31, 2016
Far Cry Primal is getting a free patch, and with it Survival Mode, this April 12th. PC Players will get extra 4K textures with the patch.
The new Survival Mode will add premadeath, which means if you die you’ll lose everything. The only exception being Vision missions. Players can earn second chances by reaching certain completion points.
Also added is a stamina gauge that drains if the player doesn’t rest actively. The minimap is turned off and the fog thickened, and fast travel will consume food and stamina. Less humans and animals will appear, making resources more valuable.
Takkar cannot use his Owl as a bomber or crafting ammo instantly. Instead it’ll take time to built items and the Beast Master will be more susceptible to the cold and fire.
In exchange Takkar’s hunter vision has been extended to make night assaults easier.
Tamable beasts are less powerful and powerful animals like Bears and Sabertooth tigers won’t be easy to tame anymore. Instead players must fight them until half their life has been depleted. Animals can be revived before death but if your animal dies they’re gone for good.
The update comes with a set of new Ubisoft club challenges.
Far Cry Primal is now available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out our review here and Adam’s Let’s Play of Far Cry Primal Here.
