GTA 6's Hidden Details Raising Expectations as Fans Uncover Rockstar's Attention to Detail
From license plates and bird droppings to smarter NPCs and dynamic vehicle physics, the latest discoveries show why every frame of GTA 6 is still being picked apart.

With Trailer 3 still nowhere in sight, you still have only the same handful of GTA 6 trailers and screenshots that Rockstar has already released. Instead of waiting around for fresh information, the community has shifted its focus toward examining every frame for details that could hint at how the game actually works.
That approach has uncovered an impressive list of features, and while some of them are still theories, many are backed by details that are already visible. Looking through these discoveries gives you a better idea of just how much effort appears to have gone into building the game's world.

One of the first things that stands out is the variety of license plates.
Unlike GTA V, which mainly featured San Andreas plates, GTA 6 already includes plates from Leonida and Gloriana. Since Leonida is based on Florida and Gloriana appears to be inspired by Georgia, the neighboring states make sense geographically. It also fuels speculation that you may eventually travel beyond Leonida, although there is still no confirmation that another state will be explorable.
The level of detail extends to surprisingly small environmental features. Bird droppings can be seen on Jason's boat in one scene, while another shot shows the same boat looking completely clean. That could simply be weathering or dirt accumulation, but it also raises the possibility that birds actively leave droppings around the world.
Birds also contribute to another visual effect that is much easier to notice. In one scene, their shadows play across a store-front poster, forming translucent silhouettes that shift realistically with the sunlight. It’s the kind of detail that a lot of players would probably miss during normal gameplay, but it adds another layer of realism to the environment.
Rockstar's fictional brands also appear to be receiving more attention than ever. A parody version of Walmart can be seen, along with a knockoff of Walmart's Great Value brand through a product called Star Cling Wrap. The GTA series has always enjoyed poking fun at real companies, and this continues that tradition.
Vehicles appear to be another major focus. One off-road vehicle even shows visible weld marks on its bull bar, while functioning windshield wipers can also be spotted. Those details might seem minor on their own, but together they point toward a level of craftsmanship that goes well beyond previous games.
Some scenes have also sparked discussion about how mature GTA 6 could be. One distant beachgoer appears to be unclothed, although it is just as likely to be a rendering issue or someone wearing swimwear that is difficult to make out from a distance. Either way, it has led to speculation that nude beaches could exist in the game.

Character customization also looks much deeper than before. Gun holsters appear on some characters, and with weapon customization already confirmed, it seems possible that holsters will become part of your own equipment as well. The game also appears to feature more television stations, fictional media outlets, and social media pages than previous entries.
Background NPCs are also attracting attention because of how much effort appears to have gone into their design.
Even characters sitting far from the camera have unique clothing, different body types, wrinkles in their shirts, and varied animations. These details help make the city feel populated by individuals rather than copies of the same model. It is exactly the sort of improvement that can make the world feel more believable as you explore.
Social media continues to play a noticeable role in GTA 6 as well. One scene appears to show a character livestreaming, suggesting that live broadcasts exist within the game's online culture. Combined with the various social media clips shown in earlier trailers, it points toward a world where internet culture plays a much bigger part than it did in GTA V.
The environment itself also reacts in more realistic ways. NPCs walking along the beach seem to collect different amounts of sand on their feet, much like snow accumulated on characters in Red Dead Redemption 2. Older vehicles even appear to use incandescent lights instead of LEDs, giving them a slower fade when turning on or off.
Inside vehicles, the realism continues. Seats visibly compress and shift as characters move about, suggesting interiors react dynamically to weight. If that behavior carries over to normal gameplay and isn’t limited to cutscenes, it could make driving feel more natural. Even small movements inside a vehicle add to the feeling that everything reacts realistically.

Wildlife may also have a greater role than before. Iguanas have already been seen, and whispers still suggest that Jason has a pet iguana. Whether that rumor turns out to be true remains unknown, but it demonstrates how closely fans are analyzing every object that appears in the trailers. Even a brief glimpse of an animal is enough to start widespread discussion.
Vehicle physics appear to extend beyond suspension alone. In one scene, a heavier rider visibly compresses a motorcycle's rear tire, making it sit lower than nearby bikes. That could mean character weight influences handling, or perhaps tire pressure itself becomes a mechanic. Either explanation would add another realistic layer to driving throughout the game.
Long-distance rendering also seems significantly improved.
Even characters far from the camera have visible accessories such as necklaces and glasses and recognizable facial features. Hair physics is also given a similar treatment, with strands moving naturally, with visible wind effects. Instead of treating hair as a rigid object, it reacts to the surrounding environment in a way that feels much more convincing.
NPC behavior may represent one of GTA 6's biggest upgrades. Drivers appear to react to traffic incidents by slowing down, steering around obstacles, and even leaning out of their windows to observe what is happening. Rockstar previously filed patents relating to advanced NPC pathfinding, and these scenes seem to support the idea that AI behavior has become much smarter.
The world also includes familiar GTA humor alongside new environmental systems. Pißwasser returns as the franchise's parody beer brand, while functional drawbridges appear throughout the city just as they do across parts of South Florida. NPCs also display visible tan lines, leading to speculation that your own character could eventually tan or become sunburned.
Character models themselves continue to impress under close inspection. Jason's arms reveal visible veins, freckles, and even individual hairs, while Lucia appears to have subtle acne on her forehead. Mud, sweat, and dirt also collect naturally on characters depending on their surroundings.

Crowds are equally varied in how they behave. Some NPCs lean against pickup trucks, others rest on vehicles, and many stand around cheering or talking naturally. The first GTA 6 trailer reportedly contained more than 630 NPCs, a dramatic increase compared to GTA V's debut trailer.
Weapon customization appears to be expanding as well. Firearms feature serial numbers, with some serving as Easter eggs that reference previous GTA games. Promotional images also show scopes, cosmetic decals, and other attachments that hint at more customization options. Environmental destruction looks more convincing, with broken barrels smearing debris, broken glass, and spilled water along the road.
No detail is too small; even the smallest props have been painstakingly designed.
Cash includes fictional text such as a bill for “United States of Paranoia,” a continuation of Rockstar’s tradition of satirical world-building. Leonida’s strong Miami inspiration is also referenced in promotional artwork, which also takes inspiration from the classic film Scarface.
Customization can also extend to small cosmetic details. Are there ear piercings before you get your earrings or only after? This is a question that Jason’s pierced ear has raised. Similar discussions have emerged around tattoos and whether removing one could leave temporary marks.
Additional environmental interactions continue to emerge the closer you look. Cars visibly lean when passengers get in or out, beer bottles contain different amounts of liquid, and bubbles move naturally inside them. Lucia and Jason each appear to have at least a dozen different hairstyles already visible across the available footage.
Together, these findings tell a story of a game that is built on many small interactions, rather than a few headline features. Many of the details are unconfirmed, and some may just be visual illusions or rough mechanics. Still, every new frame gives you another reason to look a little deeper into the world while we wait for Rockstar’s next reveal.
