This is the first time that Horizon: Hunters Gathering will be played. A big Marathon event is going on at the same time. The playtest for Horizon: Hunters' Gathering will take place from February 27th to March 1st. This will be the first time that some players can try out the new game.
But some people aren't sure about the date because it falls on the same day as Marathon's server slam event, making it hard for players to go to both. There are people who like both games, so the fact that they are happening at the same time may force some players to pick one over the other.

People who want to play both Marathon and Horizon: Zero Dawn this weekend might have a hard time.
It might be hard to fully participate in both events because of limited time and access. Over the next few days, two highly anticipated online games will be going up against each other for your attention. It's not a given that you can join the Horizon Hunters Gathering playtest. To take part, you need to be a member of the PlayStation test program.
Even if you sign up, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to take the test. There don't seem to be many choices, and you have to be chosen through the test process to join. The program has been around for a while, so a lot of people may already be signed up for it. That doesn't mean, though, that they will be able to join this playtest.
Having to be in the test adds another level of being unique. If you haven't already, you would need to join the PlayStation test program and wait to see if you are picked. Even for people who have already signed up, they aren't always told that they are there. Since this is the first playtest for Horizon: Hunters' Gathering, a lot of people may be interested.
It's an important first look at the project. There are also reports that it will be hard to talk to each other during the test. Most people think that people who are in the playtest won't be able to talk about the details of it in public. Non-disclosure agreements are often in place for early playtests like this one, so comments can't be shared online.
It needs to be sent to Sony right away. If that comes out to be true, you shouldn't talk about the game in public. Instead, you should use the official channels to share your thoughts and report bugs. Things are even more interesting because of the time and Marathon's server crash.
The event at Marathon is meant to test computers and get people excited about the game.
Playtesters might not be able to focus on both if it happens at the same time as Horizon: Hunters Gathering's first test. Over the weekend, people in the neighborhood will probably focus on both projects. More and more people are excited about February 27th.
If you are picked for the Horizon Hunters Gathering test and also want to play Marathon's server slam, you might have to decide which experience to put first. This weekend will be a great time to play online games. It will be interesting to see how well both games do when a lot of people play them at the same time.
